Repatriation after terrorist attack

Luxembourg, September 12, 2017.

Yesterday, Luxembourg Air Rescue (LAR) repatriated a victim of the Barcelona bombing. The Belgian citizen was overthrown by the van and suffered serious injuries. Repatriation to his country of residence was only possible as part of medical treatment with intensive care. She was therefore repatriated for further treatment to a Belgian hospital by Luxembourg Air Rescue aboard a fully equipped medical aircraft. Already on August 24, LAR had transported a young French couple with polytraumatic injuries of the attack in their country of residence. This is not the first time that Luxembourg Air Rescue has been deployed in terrorist attacks. In June 2015, the Luxembourg Air Rescue organization repatriated several tourists after an attack in Tunisia.
